Mark your calendars, because we’re celebrating 10 years of ANTWERP ART WEEKEND!

From 16-19 May 2024, contemporary art will once again take over the entire city of Antwerp, in celebration of our vibrant art scene and everyone whose journey coincided with ours over the last 10 years.

While we’re looking back on a decade of championing the Antwerp art scene, we’re also looking forward to a stacked program of exhibitions, events, activities, and parties, unfolding in over 70 locations throughout the city.

Antwerp’s Independent artist-run spaces, internationally renowned galleries, museums, and everything in between welcome you with doors wide open during the four days of our celebratory 10th edition!

Ljubljana Art Weeknd — May 23 – 26, 2024

The fast approaching third edition of LJUBLJANA ART WEEKEND will be curated by ETC., an annual magazine committed to showcasing contemporary artistic expressions spanning from the Baltic to the Balkans. The theme of the third issue of the magazine, Selling Out, directly correlates to the overarching theme of Ljubljana Art Weekend. It delves into the complex realities of paid work, precarious employment, self-fulfillment through labor, and the perpetual struggle for sustenance.

As part of the Ljubljana Art Weekend, ETC. will curate a group exhibition aligned with the themes explored in its third magazine issue. Moreover, we will prepare an exhilarating and diverse program that includes discussions and lectures, such as a round table discussion that will present the practices of four international contemporary art curators working in different institutional frameworks within the art system, a film screening, four art walks curated by four different art professionals, studio visits, performances and more.

We are also delighted to be further developing our tried and true partnerships with more than 25 local public institutions, galleries, project spaces and other artistic initiatives, included into the LJUBAW platform, which will present their diverse independent programmes and prepare additional content, such as workshops, guided tours and many exhibition openings.

As ever, the long Weekend, ranging from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th, remains open and free of charge between the hours of 12.00 and 18.00.

Stay tuned for more updates as we excitedly count down the days! We look forward to seeing you soon.
